Security Tip - for Broadband Users

Important security tips!
For the broadband users saving their username and password in the ADSL Modem, please take care to block the Remote Configuration facility of your ADSL modem. If possible install a personal firewall like zonealarm to prevent the pottential hackers.
BSNL has taken all the security measures like port binding etc to misuse of broadband user ids. Still these security tip will help you to prevent unwanted http server attacks also.

just type services.msc and you will find some entries starting with remote just righ click on it and disable.

I'm using Boradnabd connection, but the bill amount is very high. I think there is some misuse of data packets. Pls help me in this regard with comments

i have BSNL Broadband connection iwant to make my mail contact thru outlook.outlook could not connect to the incoming pop3mailserver & further i want to do remote desktop connection,so i need detail abt my ADSL modem firewall setting.os windows xp proffessional.please give me details abt remote desktop connection? & outlook?

hi, i'm using Huawei SmartAX MT841 ADSL router. I'm at present using this as dial-up only.

How can i save the username and password into the router.
